I would suggest Guadalcanal, although I agree that the campaign would need to be broken up into scenarios.
Aachen would be good, but the problem is the lull right in the middle of the campaign -- but this is a relatively ungamed campaign.

I see that MMP has announced Where Eagles Dare on its preorder page. I'll get.it. I am trying to imagine playing the entire Market-Garden campaign.
Where do I set it up? I have a 9x5 pool table, but that's too short by at least 40 inches. And I wouldn't be able to play pool for a year at
least.

The Normandy Games sound Good.
I revised the OB for Avalon Hill's "The Longest Day" last year and found the following very useful: Normandy 1944, Niklas Zetterling (2000), JJ Fedorowicz Publishing, Canada. - A superb reappraisal of the German OB, a must have for game designers. Gold Juno Sword, Georges Bernage (2003), Heimdal - Excellent account of the British & Canadian Beaches. Good maps showing location of German forces. George has also done books on Juno and Omaha, I don't have these but if their as good as "Gold, Juno, Sword" they'll be well worth getting. D Day fortifications in Normandy, Steven Zaloga, Osprey 2005 - Good modern appraisal of German Batteries etc. Stuff not covered in detail by Zetterling. http://www.bayonetstrength.150m.com/index.htm - An excellent site for Company and Battalion level Organisation.
